Matt’n’Brad’s Excellent Adventure: The story of the inadvertent collab!
One of #MusicStack’s fun, young writers, Matt Fish of Best Music of All Time, wrote a recent review of one of my favorite ‘80s albums, Prefab Sprout’s 1985 Two Wheels Good (as it was known in the States).
Here’s one (and there are many) of Matt’s descriptions that grabbed me: “That’s the blueprint here. Riddles wrapped in delightfully silken hooks. He never sounds like he’s lecturing. Instead, it's the balance between scholarly density and unguarded vulnerability that makes this album feel like a rare conversation you’re not sure you were meant to overhear.”
Cross-post, right? That was my first thought, but I was unable to find the magic ‘Stack button to push. I know where to look, as I’ve happily cross-posted 3 brilliant posts in the past month alone!
DM-ing Matt (and explaining my dilemma), I asked if I could cut’n’paste his article (with all due credit and links to his site) onto a post form for publishing on FRONT ROW & BACKSTAGE, as I’d be proud to have his article “live” on my site!
He was gracious and generous enough to OK my unorthodox ask, and the final result of this “inadvertent collab” is below, and resting comfortably, not only on Matt’s Best Music of All Time, but, also FRONT ROW & BACKSTAGE!
Thank you, Matt…..write on!🤘😁
