I realize the prompt itself may feel a little dark, but one thing I’ll say is that in my official D’veen stories, we learn that not all the dragons are gone.

Yes, some terrible things happened, but that’s part of good storytelling. What matters is that hope endures. The dragons are misunderstood. The dwarven king Brocknar is mad, and he’s leading his people to ruin.

But hope endures like dragon’s fire. I’m actually writing a story myself for this prompt in the next few days that will showcase yet another example of how there are stories of triumph hidden within the darkness of this time period in D’veen’s history.
