My submission for the Aminus3 Photography category ‘Letters’. Shown are the birth and throne names of Ptolemy XII (father of Cleopatra), who was of Greek-speaking Macedonian lineage, but, as ruler of Egypt, had his name written in hieroglyphics for use in official titles.
