I gave a large webinar today about micro- and nanoplastics in the brain—a scary reality of modern life. But you know what? People were really surprised to learn some of the positive research I shared.

For example, did you know:

  • We excrete about 99% of the micro/nanoplastics we consume.

  • We can reduce our exposure by an estimated 75% by doing these 4 things: avoiding plastic water bottles, drinking filtered water, cutting back on ultraprocessed food, and filtering our air.

  • Fish and seafood accumulates MNPs but this can be mitigated by cleaning it well and not consuming the innards or shells of crustaceans.
