Notes

Over the weekend I disengaged from Notes. Partly because of busyness, partly because of fatigue.

But also partly because I’ve had a whole lot of junk in my heart that I’ve had to work through and process.

Here’s what I’ve discovered over the weekend:

The more like Christ we become the more difficult the changes we need to make will be.

Here’s what I mean by that:

When we first start out following Jesus the changes we need to make are obvious. Over time those changes become less and less obvious because they are changes that need to be made with issues far below the surface.

Those are the issues that are most difficult to change. It requires prayer and fasting. It requires desperation. It requires tears.

So, Christian. If you’ve been following Jesus for a long time yet you still feel the weight of the incredible change your heart needs to undergo, be encouraged. Sometimes our awareness of the most difficult changes we need to make are a result of being the closest we’ve ever been to Christ.
