Make money doing the work you believe in

This is a joke post, but my brain won’t let it pass without mentioning that Crichton didn’t write every day. In fact he didn’t write much at all. He would make notes and get deep into the research and when he felt like he had the story, he’d bang the novel out in a couple of weeks. 10k a day for sure, two weeks a year or so.

Michael Crichton famously averaged 10,000 words per day.

Stephen King writes for 4 hours every day, including weekends.

James Patterson spends 11 hours per day on reading and writing.

What do these authors all have in common? Wives.
