First-time mom here! I collected a round-up of the best advice for traveling with infants from my readers:

🎒 Cathi Harris “+1 on taking the carseat for the plane and for taxis. Also, finding a good wrap, sling, or whatever babywearing solution works best for you. This was a lifesaver for me - for everyday life and for travel. Also, I used a backpack as a diaper bag, which I found much easier and more practical.”

💤 Kristen Luiso “I never felt the need to have my babies on a strict schedule, i breastfed on demand (and it's not like you can't do the same thing if you bottle feed, just more parts to travel with!) and the baby slept when the baby wanted to sleep, literally you're changing time zones who can keep a baby on a "schedule?" when all this is occurring?”

🌎 Gillian Longworth McGuire “Travel, travel, travel! They are portable in the beginning.”

🤒 Nicole Ziza Bauer “To have a traveler's spirit never leaves you, and allowing yours to evolve through parenthood can be just another beautiful part of that journey. (Also, taking turns with your partner while traveling: one takes nap time while the other explores, and vice versa! That, and always packing a thermometer).”

🌿 Lolly Martyn “You can totally travel, it’s just different. I preferred longer stays in one place to bopping around, which is more sustainable anyway. You’ll love it!”

👶🏻 Rahma “I've definitely travelled just as much with kids as I did before. But your expectations of what the trip is do have to change. Very small babies are so portable (especially if you breastfeed), and they sleep so much, I kind of stayed pregnant with baby in a wrap with my first, and did a lot of what I did before. I did notice that if I had a busy day out and about, I'd pay for it later. She would get overstimulated and cry and cry at the infamous witching hour. I soon figured out a balance of what she could handle (one outing a day).”

Perhaps most importantly, from Kristen Luiso “I promise you won't remember a time without them because showing them the world is the best” 🥹🥹🥹
