The master narrative from the entire left-of-center should be unmistakable: The only way out of this is to get rid of Trump and the party that forced him on the country. If the congressional party isn’t telling that story in a legible way, if it embraces the failed methods of the past, anti-Trump enthusiasm will ebb unnecessarily. Why undermine the rebuilding before it’s even begun?
