H659 just got routed to Senate State Affairs.

That's the wrong committee.

This bill sits in Title 19, criminal procedure, and it mandates every sheriff's department and municipal police agency in Idaho enter 287(g) agreements with ICE. Judiciary and Rules handles that. Has nothing to do with State Affairs, which exists for elections and government structure questions.

A bill this significant, requiring mandatory ICE cooperation from literally every law enforcement agency in the state, deserves an actual hearing. Instead it's sitting in a committee where it'll probably never get a vote.

If you want this heard, contact Senator Kelly Anthon and ask him to move it to the right committee where it belongs.
