I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

I spoke to a Trump voter earlier today and he told me he wants to vote for Donald Trump in 2028.
I said, “that’s awesome. I plan on voting for Barack Obama. I’m glad we’re getting rid of term limits.”
He was furious.
Meanwhile over here in Australia, you know, that big ole country down under…hello anyone? Can you hear us?
We, the Australian people, elected a Labor government for the second term yesterday.
This is BIG news!
It was a landslide vote against an increasingly scary, far-right Liberal party. A party that was set to act from Trumps playbook.

sometimes i wonder how many versions of myself i’ve outgrown without even noticing. i look back at old photos and remember the thoughts i used to carry, the dreams i thought would save me. it’s strange how you can live inside yourself every day and still not realize you’re evolving. it’s only when you look back that you realize how far you’ve come, how many lives you’ve already lived in the same skin.

This is tangential, but still relevant. When an episcopal see comes open, fifty to a hundred people are asked to confidentially suggest 3 names for the appointment. It is almost certain that no one recommended Weisenburger for Detroit, McElroy for DC, McGovern for Omaha, or Casey for Cincinnati. When KC is soon revealed, the same pattern will hold. It is another proof that synodality is a sham. Synodality for thee but not for me.
