Make money doing the work you believe in

I've been making some infographics with AI. And you'd think, the AI did all the work to create it, but that's not totally the way it works right now. Let me walk you through the process of how the infographics from tonight came about.

I spent two plus years doing research on Bible versions and the history of the texts. I talked and listened with friends, pastors, and translators. I read primary source documents and secondary source documents. I combined all of my notes, and then wrote them out.

Then tonight I took previous notes I'd written. I used ChatGPT to pull my sources together. I processed and organized a variety of plans for how to communicate the infographic. I worked through all the text first. Then I had to upload sources to ChatGPT because it didn't believe me on a few things until I uploaded the primary source document. At that point it said, oh you're right! There it is. Then I continued editing and modifying the text till it got to the point where it's at now. I re-read the graphic and then checked for any drifting from the original text.

After that, I modified to create separate sections to try to make it easier to read, and post. And I had to crop and save each post.

Now, I share this all because a lot of people just let AI make something without checking it. And sometimes for speed that might be helpful. But AI still isn't at the place where it's going to give you a final product on the first run. You've got to get in there and work with it.

But here's the amazing thing! You can edit the infographics now just by typing out what you want to adjust, and ChatGPT will make those adjustments.

If I can spend 3-4 hours on this in a night to create these, imagine what's going to be possible in the next year?

I really think the speed at which AI is going we'll soon be able to create, modify, and share any type of knowledge product within moments.

The key differentiator at least for a while is going to be the person who is a knowledge expert on a subject and able to check and verify what the AI is putting out. There currently still needs to be a human in the process. But for how much longer that's needed, that's up in the air.

I hope seeing the process is helpful for you.
