Ally I appreciate the sentiment of trying to "disabuse" them one at a time with reason ,facts, logic and so on. Unfortunately there has been a 40 year inundation of twisted facts and bastardization of the teachings of Christ that it is now so indelible in the minds of right wing Christians it is part of their moral fiber. Some where along the line they've been taught not think critically. Thinking outside that box is nearly impossible without movement from a much much higher power than myself.
I understand that there are many agnostics and atheists who have their reasons to hate Christianity and organized religion that read Dr. Richardson's letters and comment on them. Many times I can not blame them for their disgust and anger toward the "church" and religion. But, I see God in science. I see God working in the hearts and minds of those willing to believe. What I do know is that I will NOT be the one changing anyone's mind.
