my MIL is a retired 40-yr teacher and doesn’t have much nice to say about the unions. in the past i’ve appreciated the work they did on supporting public schools—but they’ve cast their gaze elsewhere (chasing $$ instead of doing the work they were supposed to do). i got to see how the sausage was made in past political work and i’m not a fan.
