So the illustrated hardcover edition of Grumble and Gasp is now live on Amazon.

However… there is a small caveat.

In my middle-aged fumblings, I managed to click the wrong button and approved it for printing before ordering a proof copy to check the quality.

Amazon, in its infinite wisdom, responded with a firm “no take-backsies” and sent it merrily on its way.

Which means the book is now out in the world with (hopefully) 13 full-color illustrations inside…

…but I have not yet laid eyes on a single one of them in physical form.

I have, of course, ordered an author copy. Until it arrives, I will be pacing the floor and imagining every possible printing catastrophe known to man.

In all fairness, the paperback printed beautifully, so everything should be fine.

But until I confirm that with my own eyeballs…

order the hardcover at your own peril.
