I became Mr. McGregor this morning when the tiny wild rabbit I’d affectionately named Zipper for the way he careens around the garden looked at me without fear while gnawing away at my freshly transplanted eggplant start. He found the cages I put around the plants to be a trifling amusement. He’s also sampled the tomatoes. I didn’t think rabbits liked nightshades. 🐇
