Most leaders think delegation is about handing things off. It's actually about buying your time back.

The problem is usually trust. You haven't designed a handoff clean enough that you can actually let go. So you delegate and hover. Delegate and redo. Delegate and stay up at night wondering if it got done right.

The fix: design the handoff first. Define what done looks like. Name the standard. Then let it go.

Delegation isn't losing control. It's capacity math.
