I don’t think a lot of people are measuring trust and comfort with AI, but they should.

Tech adoption has always been an issue: some customers or industry segments are more comfortable with tech than others. But the problem is bigger with AI.

If someone isn’t comfortable with AI, or doesn’t trust it, they won’t use it, or perhaps worse, will use it poorly. If they use it poorly, they won’t get quality results, further enforcing their questions about the value of AI.

Startups and product builders will need to segment users into cohorts based on their comfort level and trust with AI, so they can figure out what’s going on. That’s a new set of metrics that wasn’t really focused on before.
