There's a kinda sadness in outgrowing something you used to love.
Not losing it… it didn't leave. You left. The thing is still there, but you're just... not the person who needs it the way you used to. And there's no grief protocol for that. No one sends flowers when you finally stop listening to a podcast that used to feel like a lifeline or stop going back to a place that used to feel like home.
You just move on and the thing sits there in your memory, unchanged, waiting for a version of you that doesn't exist anymore.
(but that’s okay and that’s allowed! It’s okay to move on from things that don’t work for us anymore, like they used to at one time).
