Make money doing the work you believe in

Do you ever look at a philosophy index and think: hold on, are we just like the sand bubbler crab? Are all these theories, frameworks, schools, classifications, schisms, arguments, thought experiments and so on just a kind of detritus that we make in the course of organic activity we can’t help? Here we are, searching for something like the crab looking for food, we try to grab it and out pops subjective idealism like a sand bubble. Out pops deontology. Out pops historical materialism. Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.

We could learn something from the crab, though. The crab knows that the sand bubble is a byproduct of its search - once it makes a bubble, it doesn’t go back to it, it keeps going with new sand.
