Lights were seen dancing on top of the hermit’s tomb.

While this intrigued the villagers, the elders were not surprised. The hermit was a holy man, so with him, the supernatural became natural. The miraculous became expected.

Eventually, the lights caught the attention of church officials, who decided to open the tomb of the Maronite herm…

Not sure why but this essay from a couple years ago is getting a lot of attention lately. I am particularly proud of this one. It is the combination of several things I am very interested in: Universal History, the Inklings, Phenomenology, Symbolism, and Liturgy.
