There is little room for happiness in this troubled world.
There is sadness everywhere
Anyway what is happiness?
Happiness was never meant to stay.
It visits, it touches, it reminds, and then it moves on
not because it is cruel, but because it is honest.
The human mind was not shaped to rest in joy
it was shaped to notice danger, to remember pain, to keep us alive.
Long before we learned to smile, we learned to survive.
That is why happiness feels fleeting
because it is not our default state
it is a gentle interruption.
A pause between worries
a breath between storms
a quiet light that says life is more than just enduring it.
And perhaps that is its true beauty.
If happiness stayed forever, we would stop seeing it
we would forget its warmth, its softness, its grace.
It is the contrast that makes it sacred.
life cannot be measured by how long happiness stays.
Measure it by how deeply you allow yourself to feel it when it arrives.
Because happiness is not meant to be held
it is meant to be felt.
