Thank you for sharing each episode and event so openly, Alice. The way you're sharing the moments as they were gives us readers the painful truths that we can't know everything in the moment or predict the future.
White water, as far as I know, can obscure what's coming, making it impossible to see far ahead and harder to predict the next best move. The focus has to be on the immediate turbulence and rocks.
My situation was more like a rollercoaster; we could almost tangibly feel the tension cranking up as little changes moved us towards another free-fall drop.
