Make money doing the work you believe in

Leon Black — private equity billionaire, MoMA trustee, Jeffrey Epstein’s most generous client ($158 million for “tax advice?”) — has discovered a charming new way to silence Epstein survivors: personally writing to federal judges to defend his good name.

The timing is impeccable. His letter to Judge Jed Rakoff arrived days before Rakoff reversed a $2.5 million award to Black’s rape accuser. She received considerably less.

One imagines the math was not lost on her.

Meanwhile, Epstein files describe what Black allegedly did to earn that accusation. The details involve biting. And a sixteen-year-old. And a carpet that will never quite recover.

Black has denied everything, naturally.
