The US Supreme Court has refused to hear a case brought by a computer scientist who was denied a copyright for visual art made by his AI system. The refusal upholds previous judgements that human authorship is a "bedrock requirement of copyright."
As a judge for literary contests, sifting through obviously AI-generated content that people are trying to pass off as their own, I’m okay with this court decision.
