The green season is full of small wonders. πΏ
This illustration began with a collection of things that are easy to overlook: butterflies, leaves, coneflowers, and scattered seeds. None of them is particularly dramatic on their own. Yet together, they tell a story of growth, transformation, and quiet abundance.
I've always loved how the church calendar makes room for this kind of noticing. After the brightness of Christmas and the celebration of Easter comes Ordinary Time, the long green season. It's a season that teaches us to pay attention to what is growing slowly, faithfully, and often unnoticed.
That rhythm inspires much of the work we do at Carrot Top Studio. Whether creating art, designing stoles, or writing reflections, I'm drawn to the idea that meaning is often found in the ordinary. A leaf. A seed. A butterfly. A small act of kindness. A season of steady growth.
Maybe that's why I find myself returning to green again and again.
