I think a lot of young women today have either forgotten or just straight up don’t know this. Feminism gets a bad rap (and I’d be the first to admit certain iterations of it were pretty out of touch and annoying) but when you say you “don’t need feminism” I don’t think you know what you’re talking about!

In early American culture, it was taken for granted that women, whether as wives under coverture or the enslaved, had no legal right to refuse sex.
