The reason the Bible can be difficult to understand and frequently misinterpreted, is because it is made up of 66 books with approximately 40 different authors covering several literary styles (narrative, poetry, prophecy, allegory, wisdom).

It is a humbling thing to rightly divide and teach the word of God.
