The app for independent voices

When it comes to home decor, I don’t like reading words of any kind. This goes for things like “Eat,” “Gather,” “Play,” “Merry,” or “Amalfi,” but even posters that say “Matisse” or those French vintage liquor ads annoy me. Most egregious has to be thought/behavior policing posters that say stuff like “Be Kind.” It’s not even a taste thing, it’s just that, for whatever reason, I cannot just see these words and move on with my day, I feel like I’m being held by the neck and being forced to read them. And when I read them, sometimes dozens of times a day, I feel like I’m consuming an advertisement or behavioral instruction in what should be the private domestic sphere. No offense if you have a sign that says “BEACH” with an arrow in your house I just feel like I’m being told how to exist and I do not vibe with it
