Causal Inference 1 (Fundamentals, unconfoundedness, IV and RDD) will be taught June 16, 17, 23 and 24 from 7am to 4pm GMT+8 times. Causal Inference II (DiD and synthetic control) will be taught July 15, 16, 22 and 23 from 7am to 4pm GMT+8 times. Starting in the fall, though, we will be doing some renaming of all these workshops and their corresponding “tracks”. The three types of tracks will be: “The Classics” (taught by me in three workshops: Causal Inference 1, 2 and 3), “Singles” and “Deep Cuts”. Expect soon a more thorough description of who and what these are to be. But starting this fall, Causal Inference 2 will only be difference-in-differences (still 4-day) and Causal Inference 3 will only be synthetic control (2-day). The hope is that this way more time can be spent coding in difference-in-differences with less hurry, and synth can be the same.
