Keeping up with your subscriptions is the most important job of the Substack app. Today we’ve shipped some exciting improvements and additional controls:
The "Inbox" tab is now called "Subscriptions"
There is a beautiful new grid-style view with larger title cards. You can toggle between views in the top right.
You have the option to sort by priority within your subscriptions, to help you not miss important posts from your favorites.
For when you want to listen to your subscriptions, there is a new filter that brings together podcasts, videos, and read-alouds.
Discovery is also key, and can be a particular challenge for long-form media like podcasts and interviews. We're testing an update to the media tab that gives you a quick way to browse video content. It should feel like a familiar format, but we've with some key additions that make it Substacky:
It’s optimized not to keep you flipping, but to help discover long-form and valuable content. When you find a clip that sparks your interest, there is a prominent button to dive into the full version.
When you find something you fall in love with, there is a subscribe button right there.
I’ve been testing both of these, and I’m very excited to get to share them with you now. Let me know what you think!
