I don’t see it as a nothing burger. Even if it’s true that there’s no first amendment issue in turning away visitors over blog posts, it is still not the right thing to do.

As a matter of law this may be true.

But as a matter of principle and leadership, if the US wants to be a defender of free speech on the world stage—which I think it can and should—that gets harder when you’re interrogating and turning people away at the border over critical blog posts.
