While Feed Me has benefitted from Substack highlighting my work, I also recognize the first-mover advantage I had by being an early user. It’s far too simple to tell writers that if they join today, they can make a living here. Although I want people to get paid for their writing, I find the bar is really high for me to pay for new subscriptions.
