BAGERIET LÖRDAG ON TOUR: Winter in California 🌴☀️

This February I am spending the whole month in the place where I was born and raised; sunny Southern California! This time around I will be doing a series of pop ups with some of my favourite SoCal bakers. 

FEB 17: SEMLOR AT COLOSSUS

First up is fettisdagen (Fat Tuesday) at Colossus Bakery in Long Beach. We had so much fun making semlor here in 2023 and 2024 we knew we need to do it again! We will be making as many semlor as we are physically able to!! Each box will contain 4 traditional semlor. These are the beloved buns Swedes eat every year for Fat Tuesday. They are made with soft cardamom dough, shaped in a roll, filled with almond paste and topped with whipped cream. Each box is $30 and preorders are open NOW: order.ceciliatolone.com…

FEB 21: PASTRY BOX AT BAKERS BENCH

For our second pop up we will be making traditional Swedish pastries at my friend Jen’s wonderful bakery, Bakers Bench. Each box is $28 will contain one of each of the following: 

Ambrosiakaka: yellow cake with candied orange and royal icing

Hallongrotta: thumbprint cookie with raspberry jam

Kardemummabulle: Swedish style cardamom buns

Semla: just like the ones made at colossus, soft cardamom bun filled with almond paste and topped with whipped cream.

FEB 28: CAKE COLLAB BOX WITH ROSE WILDE OF RED BREAD

Our last pop up will be with the wonderful Rose Wilde of Red Bread. We will be collaborating a box of cake, both minis and slices! Each box will be $40 and contain two mini cakes and two cake slices. A portion of the proceeds will go to CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles).

Banana Split: Banana Walnut Cake, Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla Malt Buttercream, Sprinkles, Whip Cream, Cherry

Vanilla and Yuzu: Vanilla Buttermilk Cake, Vanilla Mousse, Yuzu Curd, Vanilla Yuzu Buttercream

Bageriet Lördag Cakes: 

Princess Cake Slice: Genoise Sponge Cake, Vanilla Pastry Cream, Raspberry Jam, Whipped Cream, Marzipan

Kladdkaka Slice: Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake with Dark Chocolate Cremeux and Candied Cocoa Nibs

Pick up will be in Tongva Park in Santa Monica. Preorders open February 15th!
