As some of you may have noticed, the Surreal Side Quest Serial Challenge has become something of a Main Quest for me, partially ruining my life.

We are now 11 chapters in, somewhere past ten thousand words, and—against my better judgment—I’ve started drawing it. (Shoutout to Zack Harmes for the inspiration.)

This is a draft of the yurt from Chapter IX.

Once the story is complete (two or three chapters remain), I’ll publish it in full as a single article on Substack. I’m also considering a small physical edition with a dozen or so illustrations.
