As his condition worsened, I struggled to accept that the Lord might take him home. I prayed fervently for healing. Because I didn’t know how God intended to answer those prayers, I often prayed in the Spirit over him. If God planned to heal him here on earth, I wanted that with all my heart. If God planned to bring him home, I prayed that Don would be spared months of suffering.
