So excited to finally hold my new book Grow Together in my hands It arrived through the letterbox this morning.
This book is all about growing more food in the same space, using companion planting, inter-sowing and overlapping crops. I’ve been practising this for many years, and it’s about getting the timings right – making the most of the end of one crop while the next one is just beginning.
A simple example is carrots followed by Brussels sprouts. Sow carrots in late March, then in mid-June thin a few and plant in your Brussels. Keep the mesh on, harvest carrots through July, and you’ll have strong Brussels ready for winter.
Grow Together is published by Dorling Kindersley.
