Dear subscribers, readers, followers, supporters,
Just over a year ago, almost on a whim, I launched I GO!
A journal of serendipitous reflections. Observations. Thinking in motion. A diary of curiosities.
It started as an experiment with no strategy other than spontaneity: a space to write freely - essays fuelled by curiosity, like a flâneur wandering through the age we live in. Michel de Montaigne would call these reflections “attempts”. At what, capturing the world, perhaps?
This newsletter has allowed me to share the world as I experience it, through travels, conversations, ideas, chance encounters, strange observations in airports, cities, conferences, dinners… and the quieter moments, full of grace, in between.
And the joy, people!
The vibrancy, sensuality, indulgence, of writing, of weighing every word, of pondering every thought. Of cnnecting with you through your kind comments, DMs, messages - hearing how something resonated. That is the prize.
So thank you.
Putting yourself out there is a leap of faith - every time. And then that little frisson when you press publish…
But I GO! was always about something bigger: the power of life itself.
Its strange little miracles. Those liminal moments - in transit, in unfamiliar cities, in late-night conversations, in music…
Time, suspended, when you suddenly feel deeply connected to the world. So alive. Moments full of possibility, of great clarity.
Maybe the mission here is simply this: to help you savour them too. To pause. To feel their warm glow. To smile, knowingly, when they happen.
With much love,
Charlotte
