79 years ago tonight, Bugsy Siegel kicked off the Flamingo Las Vegas. Even though a surprise rainstorm in L.A. kept some celebs from showing up, the place was still buzzing with West Coast mobsters, Hollywood stars, and local ranchers. Too bad none of them could crash there since the hotel rooms weren't ready yet! 🎉🌧️🌟
