Salmon Spread

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound salmon filet

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 small clove garlic, finely grated

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Season the salmon lightly with salt and pepper and place it on a lined sheet pan.

  2. Roast the salmon for 12–15 minutes, until just cooked through and flaky. Let cool completely.

  3. 3.in a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, dill, capers, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  4. Flake the cooled salmon into the bowl, discarding any skin.

  5. Fold gently until the salmon is incorporated but still slightly chunky.

  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with more lemon, salt, or pepper as needed.

  7. Chill for 15–30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
