This is insightful. As a Catholic — a cradle Catholic, but an intellectual one — I spent a long time jumping, like Qoheleth, from one pursuit to another in order to find meaning, to “prove” myself, as it were. That included a lot of intellectual pursuits and attempts to master Catholic theology.
It would be nice to see the guilty swing from the gallows on the Washington Mall. However as history has shown that wish is optimism over reality. However for those with faith, Hell is open for all the scoundrels. FJB
God? Ha. As I progress in age to my twilight years my wisdom has evolved. My faith in God isn't what it used to be in the days of my youth. Today I believe two things about God. 1; God created us and has long since died off. 2; God created us and then took off with its buddies to play eternal golf on a golf paradise world and doesn't give a flying f___ about its creations.

Life has a way of stripping everything from us. In a certain way I agree. He has given us all free will to live and do as we wish. I won’t get into much here except to say He gets involved in our personal lives only as much as we let Him in but he will do His will. No matter your or my opinions. Our will isn’t the last word on anything

Do you see the internal contradiction in what you wrote? That your first sentence is your opinion which your second sentence nullifies? The mysterious Creator saw to it that the truth can only be known by the absence of contradiction.
