I've been asked if I'm optimistic about the midterms.

I think all the good things we are hoping for electorally will happen but it'll take years longer than folks expect.

A few election cycles and the states waking up to how exploitable and broken the current system is.

The midterms will deliver a handful more champions, the GOP will have few defectors, there will be moments of heartbreak and joy, and needless suffering and of real humanity.

I think both our best and our worst days lay ahead.

All we can do is our best.
