I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

Of course advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this.

I don't know if JD Vance killed the Pope, but I think we should deport him to El Salvador just in case.

Hey Bulwark team. I am a college educated voter currently on the fence. Would it be possible for the bulwark team to put together a summary of where the candidates stand on the important issues in this election. All the bs that is floating around makes it impossible for me to sort the wheat from the chaff. I voted for Trump in 2016, Biden in 2020 and am undecided. I find Trump to be a buffoon but, having lived in CA when Kamala was AG, do not trust her new moderate positions at all.

Thanks for all the hard work you do and considering my ask.

You ask where the candidates stand on “important issues in this election.” What issues are important to you? Is it immigration, economy, abortion, and Ukraine? These are popular concerns. Or are the important issues more foundational?

Which candidate will respect our institutions? Which won’t abuse their power? Who will hold firm against authoritarians like Putin? Who will build up America and its people instead of tearing it down and promoting hate? Who will be a stable leader?

If policies are what concern you, then certainly there are speeches, interviews you can watch. WaPo has a summary of policies here: washingtonpost.com/poli… . We’ll have to parse what a candidate says from what they will do. This has always been true. If you are concerned about Harris’ policies, remember she will have a divided Congress, at best. Presidents are limited by Congress depending on what they want to do. Trump will likely get both chambers which means he can do a lot of what he says including cutting off support for Ukraine.

Which candidate is likely to abuse power? He’s spoken endlessly about his enemies and what he thinks they deserve. Has Harris? Who do you think would use their power to potentially violate laws? Who has violated laws already?

Only you can answer these questions. I’m not sure a chart of policy positions can tell you everything you need to know.
