BREAKING: The Florida legislature has passed H.B. 1521, a bill that criminalizes trans people using the bathroom in accordance with their gender identity in all public buildings, schools, and correctional and detention facilities. Specifically, any trans person who “refuses to depart [the restroom] when asked to do” by various individuals has committed the crime of trespassing.

It’s a bit confusing, but my read of things is that this amendment — in the first comment — is the bill that was passed. [Update: The enrolled bill was posted, and it is the amendment that I referenced.]
