BREAKING: The Justice Department filed notices on Thursday night that it will be appealing the preliminary injunctions issued in New York and California preventing DOJ from obtaining personal medical information by way of grand jury subpoenas about transgender people who received gender-affirming medical care as a minor.

An injunction relating to New York City and NYU Langone Health will be appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and a second injunction relating to Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford will be appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Law Dork has been covering these subpoena efforts in depth and will have more coverage as circumstances warrant.
