Almost 20 years ago, I asked my wife to marry me as she sat on this bench. It's located in the rose garden across the street from the Old Mission Santa Barbara. She said, "Yeah, I guess." (I am not making that up; to know her is to love and adore her.) That answer sparked nearly decades of discovery for me, for us, and for our children, with more to come.
