Biggerplate adds a powerful, integrated search experience
The developer of Biggerplate, the world's largest online library of mind maps and videos related to mind mapping, has been hard at work rebuilding the site search to make it more useful to members and visitors.
Liam Hughes, the founder of Biggerplate, explains that site search results now group mind maps and videos (including training and recorded webinars) together, giving you a richer set of resources to explore.
A new search tools panel on the right side of the page enables you to filter search results by:
Language: In recent years, the website has started to host a growing quantity of non-English content. Germany and France have large populations of mind mappers. They can now easily find mind maps and videos in their native language.
Mind mapping tool: This set of filters enables you to narrow your search to mind maps that were created using the application you specify. Why does this matter? If you're a MindManager user, chances are you'll want to view only the mind maps and templates that are compatible with it.
Check out the screenshot below for an example of search results for the term "clarity."
Another recent enhancement to Biggerplate is the addition of curated video LINKS. Until recently, if you were a Biggerplate Pro user who wanted to contribute video content to the site, you had to upload a video file.
With the new arrangement, you can submit a link to a mind mapping-related video on YouTube or ay other public website. This has the potential to make Biggerplate even more valuable. To submit video links, you need to become a Biggeplate Pro user, which is quite affordable.
Kudos to Liam for his ongoing commitment to improving the Biggerplate experience!
