Xmind launches simple but innovative "zones" in mind maps
One of the biggest problem knowledge workers face today is scattered attention. Xmind aims to help recapture and focus it by enabling "zones" within your mind maps.
A zone is a focused work area within your mind map. You can drag your mouse to create and name them. Based on the Xmind video that explains zones, it appears the application's canvas isn't used to contain just a single mind map or timeline.
Instead, it's evolving into more of an open canvas, sort of like Miro or Mural, where multiple maps and diagrams can co-exist as complementary parts of a larger project.
The video also encourages you to use zones as reusable building blocks to help streamline your work.
in addition, you can export and print zones, which sounds quite useful.
Considering the increased volume of information overload everyone is dealing with in our AI-saturated world, it's nice to see a developer presenting us with a new tool to help us make sense of it all.
