The app for independent voices

New Ivvi app transcribes lectures and summarizes them in integrated mind maps

A colleague of mine, Brian Friedlander, recently gave me a demo of Ivvi, a new hybrid application that combines real-time audio-to-text transcription with mind mapping. It's powered by AI.

The mind map and the transcription are linked. In other words, if you select a branch in the mind map, the transcription will display that corresponding section of text in an adjoining window. You can even play back the audio from that point in the recording. Nice!

This tool is designed for assistive learning for schools, but I can easily see how it can be used in business applications, too, including:

  • Transcribing meetings

  • Summarizing the contents of white papers and technical papers

  • Summarizing the contents of recorded webinars

  • Helping busy executives reach clarity on multi-page documents full of planning notes

I hope to talk to the CEO soon and already plan to write a review of Ivvi.

I can't wait to dig into this application to learn more about it.
