"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield...my stronghold and my refuge, my savior..."

"And David spoke to The Lord the words of this song on the day when The Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies..."

2 Samuel 22:2,3,1.

These verses lead off a long proclamation by David of the strength and deliverance and blessing of God.

It is repeated again in Psalm 18, but it is in 2 Samuel that we see the context...that of a man looking back on his life, and recalling not just the goodness, but the bold intervention of God in his life, throughout his life!

It is a reminder that the journey may be long, but that the presence and move of God in our lives is experienced both spiritually and physically, in one rescue after another, after another...
