Forgive me. I’m going deep on a single sentence. Broadly, I agree that an inquiry into the nature of Supply and Demand is sorely lacking in Economics. But I’m not convinced by your scientific-materialist approach (if that’s a fair characterisation).

I think it’d be wiser to say that ‘Desire and willingness are psychosexual phenomena related to consciousness’. You are right to recognise that there is a great unknown territory between the sparks in our heads and our individual and social movements.

However, we must also remain aware that mysteries and puzzles are not the same thing. The territory maybe ‘unknowable’ and no map ever sufficient. Hence the assumption that power relations necessarily subsume supply and demand is unsafe. I mean, yes. In the current world, I agree. But as a determinate law? No. I don’t think that’s a conclusion that can be drawn.
